Jody Houghton's illustrations and writings have warmed the hearts of dedicated gift buyers for over twenty years. Her down-to-earth point of view and unique artistic style is attributed to the longevity of her successful home-based business.

Drawing on her personal life experiences, spiritual values, and her peer group - Wise Women Over Fifty - in creating her work, Jody's positive and encouraging writing style inspires her readers to celebrate life each and every moment. Her artistic expression reveals a sense of whimsy with light-hearted humor and joy. She is the proud creater of the characters Faith, Hope, & Charity that are featured in many of her designs.

Jody's artistic application is a life-long combination of skills, exhibiting her love for color, and arts and crafts. A detailed blending of watercolor paper, acrylic paint, stencil cutting, pen and ink detailing, and sewing and quilt design skills are revealed in her creations. Her work is truly an original technique of mixed media.

Jody is a native Oregonian currently living in Salem. She is blessed with a son, Iain, who lives and works in Hollywood, California, and a daughter, Michele, and son-in-law Brinker, who live in Columbus, Ohio. 2011 is an exciting year with the anticipation of Jody's first grandchild, a little girl, expected to arrive in September!
